Hola,

Think of the most famous person in your field.

Not the best one. The most famous one.

In business, a lot of people are great. But the one you probably think of is Alex Hormozi.

There are millions of good psychiatrists. The one you think of is the one with an online presence.

There are so many yogis with great teachings. But the one most people think of is Sadhguru.

And he has a 1-minute clip that explains why. Someone asks him if being spiritual and being popular can go together. His answer:

“If you’re doing something that you think is important, you must become famous.”

He’s not talking about ego. In the same clip, he says being famous is “not your business.” It’s other people’s. His point is that when the world knows you, it lets you do more of your work. When it doesn’t, “they’ll kill your work.”

I see this with experts all the time.

Have you ever lost a client to someone you know is worse than you? Not because they’re better at the work. Because they’re active on LinkedIn.

That one hurts.

At the webinar, I asked everyone what one new client is worth to them. Most people said somewhere between $1,000 and $10,000. A few said $15K, even $50K.

Here’s the math:

What one client pays you a month × 12 months = what staying invisible costs you every year

That’s if a system brings you just one more client, and they stay for a year. With the numbers from the chat:

$1,000 × 12 = $12,000 a year
$2,000 × 12 = $24,000 a year
$5,000 × 12 = $60,000 a year
$10,000 × 12 = $120,000 a year

Now try it with your number.

I know what you might be thinking. “I don’t want to become that cringe influencer.”

You don’t have to. You can be an expert online without being the thing you don’t want to be. You don’t have to share your whole life or post a selfie every day.

And you already have the hard part. You’ve spent years learning what you know. Getting known just takes a system and a few months.

So this isn’t really a LinkedIn decision. It’s deciding you’re done being the best person nobody’s heard of.

10 years from now, your industry will remember you one of two ways. As an expert who did great work quietly. Or as the person everyone learned it from.

If you want to build that system with me and my team, the first LinkedIn Engine cohort closes Friday, October 30 at 11:59 PM ET.
